Splice Selected for Plug and Play's Supply Chain Technology Program in Savannah

August 18, 2022 – Today Plug and Play, the Silicon Valley based venture capital firm and corporate innovation platform, and the Savannah Logistics Innovation Center announced that it selected Splice to participate in its supply chain technology acceleration program in Savannah, Georgia.

Plug and Play Savannah aims to build an ecosystem where corporations, startups, and universities can collaborate on solving the biggest challenges of the maritime, trucking, rail, and air cargo industries. Beyond attracting corporations and startups in the logistics industry to Savannah, a key objective of the partnership is to connect entrepreneurs and talent in supply chain and logistics to Plug and Play's global network of 500+ corporations and 30,000+ startups.

“The Plug and Play program in Savannah is an incredible opportunity for Splice, and our selection is another data point substantiating the value of Splice to logistics operations of all kinds,” said Kevin Speers, Co-Founder and CEO of Splice. “We are excited for the opportunity to use Splice to solve problems for the leading global organizations participating in the Savannah program as well as others in the Plug and Play ecosystem.”

Truckers, logistics service providers and shippers use Splice to streamline and automate logistics data flows. Splice translates and integrates data and design workflows to solve container shipping problems.

Recently, Splice created a solution to help shippers manage export receiving windows at seaports, which shift quickly due to late vessel arrivals or congestion. Splice also launched an integrated yard management solution, Yard Spot, that stacks GPS-tracking and operational data to form a common operating picture of container operations. Splice plans to continue using its integration platform to develop point solutions to solve specific challenges within the industry.
